The Story of An Hour by

Kate Chopin

This story had a twist to it. It's about a woman named Louise, who has a heart problem and also married to Brently Mallard. In this story, Richard (her husband's friend), comes to her house to inform her that her husband is dead but didn't know how to approach her with the news. Louise sister, Josephine, tells her sister about the death. Louise takes the news in calmly than how they expected. She walked to her room alone and sat on a chair looking out the window, taking in the moment and everything around her in. She looked like she was crushed but calm. Louise then started whispering to herself and then getting louder saying "Free!" Josephine, was concerned so she went to the door and asked Louise to open the door to make sure she wasn't killing herself (emotionally & physically). Louise came out the room holding onto her sister's waist walking. As they walked together, her husband walks into the house. Louise in shock but thrilled at the same time, her heart failed.

Twist was happiness can also kill you. In my opinion, everything in life can kill you if you let it get to you mentally, physically and emotionally. Louise had handled her husband's "death" better than when she saw him enter the house alive. Everything is about how you handle the situation.
